Stakmint Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Stakmint ("we", "us") is a home and business inventory app made by Beviond. Stakmint is provided by Beviond, a trading name of Victor Garcia, an individual based in Perth, Western Australia. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and your choices. We aim to follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Account: your email address, and a password if you choose one. We use them to sign you in.
  • Your inventory: what you enter: places, floors, rooms, storage, items, quantities, notes, floor plans, shopping lists, business details and vehicle details (such as make, model and plate).
  • Photos you take or choose: items, rooms, storage, fridges or shelves, cars, fuel gauges.
  • Voice: if you use the cloud voice option (the default), we record your speech after you tap the mic and send the audio for transcription. We don't keep the audio. We save the text of voice and typed commands, with the app's reply (your voice history), for 90 days by default; you can choose Off, 30 days, 90 days or 1 year in Settings → Voice & language, or clear it at any time. Older entries are deleted automatically every day.
  • Location (optional): only if you open Fuel nearby and allow it, and only while that screen is open (never in the background). Your phone works out the distances to stations. To show live Western Australian fuel prices, we send an approximate position (rounded to about 1 km) to our server for that one request; it isn't stored, logged or shared, and our server fetches the prices from WA FuelWatch without passing your position on. You can turn location off at any time in your phone's settings.
  • We don't collect: contacts, advertising ID, analytics or crash tracking. Supplier and team contacts you type stay on your phone only.

Our servers (Supabase) keep standard technical logs, such as IP address and request times, for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

To run the app: store and sync your inventory, find and move items by voice, suggest item details, room shapes and running-low items from photos, look up typical prices, and keep your account secure. We don't sell your data, don't show ads, and don't use your data for advertising.

Who processes it (service providers)

xAI (Grok API)Photos you ask it to analyse; text commands and item names; voice recordings (cloud voice option)Photo recognition, room plans from photos, understanding commands, price lookups, speech-to-text
Groq (Groq, Inc.) and OpenAIVoice recordings, only when xAI is busy or unavailableBackup speech-to-text
Google / Apple speech servicesYour speech, when you choose the phone's built-in recogniserSpeech-to-text on your phone, under Google's or Apple's own terms

These providers process data for us under their API terms and may be outside Australia (for example in the United States). Our database is hosted in Sydney, Australia (Supabase, ap-southeast-2). By their published API terms, xAI and OpenAI don't use API data to train their models by default. We take reasonable steps for overseas recipients as Australian Privacy Principle 8 requires. We ask for your permission in the app before your photos or voice are first sent to an AI provider.

Storage and security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your inventory is stored in your own account, protected by row-level security so only you can read it. Photos are kept in a private bucket and shown through short-lived links. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete any item, photo, room or place in the app at any time. To delete your whole account and all its data, use You → Settings → Delete account in the app (immediate), or see stakmint.com/delete-account. We delete account data within 30 days of a verified request, except anything we must keep by law. Backups roll off within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to access or correct your personal information, or complain about how we handle it. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

Children

Stakmint is for adults and isn't designed for children under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for big changes, tell you in the app.
